Hether - Owner / Master Designer

Hether has dedicated her entire career to doing hair and making people feel beautiful. She has been a stylist for almost 40 years and a salon owner since she was 19 years old. Hether founded this salon in 1999 and continues to own and operate the business. Hether hopes to create a comfortable, yet trendy environment where every type of client can leave happy. She not only shares her artistic gift with every client who sits in her chair, but she also shares her heart -- many of Hether’s clients throughout the years have become some of her closest friends.
Hether is passionate about keeping herself and her staff educated. Hether has traveled all over North America, Central America, and Europe attending hair shows and educational seminars to position herself at the top of her industry. She loves sharing her knowledge with new stylists and has a true passion for building up new stylists and leading them to success. Hether also believes it is her responsibility to create a new industry standard where stylists are consistently learning and growing. To create this legacy, Hether ensures there are monthly educational classes hosted at the salon by top brands like Oribe,Goldwell, Blue and R&Co. She also invests in her top stylists by taking them to leadership conferences and sending them to hair shows to round out their continuing education. Hether is also a certified educator and every new stylist in her salon goes through extensive training with her before they are allowed to take their own clients on the floor. Hether (mom) loves that she gets to share her love of hair with her daughter Caliegh, who is also now a stylist at the salon.
On top of hair education and technique, Hether strives to create a customer-centric environment in her salon. Hether believes that the clients that make up her salon community are the lifeblood of her business. For this reason, customer service is a vital component of Salon Hether’s success and Hether herself takes note to make sure everyone who enters the door of her little corner of Olde Town Arvada leaves feeling satisfied with their experience.
When Hether is not busy at the salon she enjoys spending time with her wonderful family. She has a beautiful, big group of people she loves to shower with love. She has five adult children, and two special grandbabies. Most notably, Hether found the love of her life in her second marriage to Jim -- he is her best friend, life partner, business partner and everything in between.
Ashley is happy to be a member of the Hether’s team and likes the sense of community and how welcoming and warm the salon is. She has been doing hair for over 12 years and started at an early age practicing on her younger sister. She is from Scottsbluff, NE and went to school in Fort Collins, but always knew she would come to Colorado. Ashley is a Goldwell Color Trendsetter and refers to herself as a “color geek”. She believes that cutting and color goes hand-in-hand and she loves to do both. The foundation for this belief is lots of education. She feels that education is really important and she is passionate about learning and training. If she wasn't able to work in the salon, she would probably be an instructor because she loves this industry.
Hair found me, in all honesty. I grew up in a dance studio, dancing in to university, ultimately getting my degree in psychology. I blended these passions and plunged into the fitness world, where movement and psyche married. After years of teaching, I decided to go to beauty school. This form of art also touches people lives.

Andi grew up in a small town in Oregon. She used to tour as a professional singer, did some recording in Nashville and opened for acts like Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Oak Ridge Boys, Tanya Tucker, Charlie Daniels Band, etc. It was when she met her husband, a Captain with the Aurora Fire Department, 22 years ago in a bar in Grand Junction where her path in life completely changed. She had sung at Fan Fare in Nashville, but her heart was living in Colorado. Twenty years of marriage and two kids later, she loves being a wife and mother.
Like most family owned businesses, there is a matriarch, and at Hether’s, this is Sheri, Hether’s mom. Theirs is a very close family and Sheri enjoys tending the relationships. While she may not have a specific daily role at Hether’s, Sheri loves being involved and helping out as much as possible. She even acted as the general contractor on the recent remodel at the salon because one of her passions is decorating and design work.
